Just So You Know Where I Stand

Today's news is historic and welcome.  #lovewins!

Justice Kennedy: It would misunderstand these men and women to say they disrespect the idea of marriage. Their plea is that they do respect it, respect it so deeply that they seek to find its fulfillment for themselves. Their hope is not to be condemned to live in loneliness, excluded from one of civilization’s oldest institutions. They ask for equal dignity in the eyes of the law. The Constitution grants them that right. ‪#‎lovewins‬

Sarah and Mike's Wedding

While we'd been through Engaged Encounters and counseling at my husband's Catholic church, Rev. Evans spent the time with us to make sure we were ready to be married (not just have a wedding day).

She helped us create a very Christian but non-denominational service (working with both my/my husband's backgrounds) that was meaningful to us - and then went on to surprise us at the ceremony with a twist that brought it all together.

After the wedding, several of his closest friends (some of whom had never been to a non-Catholic ceremony - and definitely not one conducted by a woman) couldn't stop telling us how moving and wonderful it had been.  We couldn't agree more -- and 5+ years and counting it must have "taken"!

Thank you, Rev Evans!

Katie and Kyle's Wedding

As soon as we met with Reverend Sarah Evans, we knew that she was the perfect officiant for our wedding. She is compassionate, patient, creative, understanding and kind. She got to know us on a personal level and was able to create a perfect ceremony that totally fit us as a couple. She prepared a beautiful ceremony that made both of our religious and non-religious families happy. After the ceremony we had so many guests tell us how much they loved her and one friend said she wants to have Rev. Sarah do her wedding! We would absolutely recommend Reverend Sarah to anyone!"

What a wonderful couple! Thank you for the chance to help create this important step in your relationship!

Katie and Mike's Wedding

Our wedding day could not have been as wonderful as it was without Rev. Sarah Evans. She made our ceremony unique to us after getting to know us over the months leading up to our wedding. She coached us through the many challenges we may have after becoming newlyweds and put our minds at ease about how to handle different, very real, life situations. Our ceremony was fun, humorous, full of love and the word of God. We are so grateful to have had Sarah not only join us in marriage, but toast our lives together during our reception. It was a day we will truly never forget.

Love, Katie and Mike
